Snorkel and scuba dive amongst beautiful corals. See a colourful variety of tropical marine life. Relax on the vast sun deck. See the Great Barrier Reef from the glass bottom boat (Optional Extra). Take the “Wild Ride” on the famous Compass Boomnet.
Horse Riding Adventure
Experience the joys of horse-riding through the Aussie bush, Rainforest, Sugar-cane fields and Wetlands all in one ride. The horses are of a friendly, mature nature and are hand-picked to match your skill level and ability. After a safety and introductory riding lesson, you will then be divided into groups to match your skill levels. This way, you will have a safe and fun horse riding experience.
Itinerary
Great Barrier Reef
- 0730 – Check-in directly to Compass at Marlin Wharf Berth 18
- 0800 –Depart Marlin Marina Cairns to the Outer Great Barrier Reef
- 1030 – Arrive at your first Great Barrier Reef Location
- 1230 – BBQ Lunch with fresh salads
- 1300 – Cruise to 2nd Reef Location
- 1500 – Depart the Great Barrier Reef
- 1730 – Approximately Arrival time at Cairns Marina
Horseriding
(time depends on if you’d prefer morning or afternoon tour)
- Pick up at Your Accommodation
- Arrive at Blazing Saddles and be greeted with Morning Tea
- Helmets fitted and horses assigned, safety lessons, Tour Commences
- Return to base with Refreshments and hot snacks

Important Information
Great Barrier Reef
We have a passion for showing you Australia’s Great Barrier Reef, so please make sure you understand the scuba diving laws.
Queensland, Australia has some of the strictest scuba diving rules in the world but also the safest scuba diving record. The Queensland Government Code of Practice regulates us and comply with all regulations, including medical as is the law.
We recommend our passengers complete our dive medical questionnaire before booking as some medical conditions, age and medications may prevent you from diving. It is always our mission to provide our passengers with the very best Great Barrier Reef experience.

Flying after Scuba Diving
For a single no decompression scuba dive, you should not fly or go to altitude for at least 18 hours after a scuba dive. For multiple dives, you should not fly for 24 hours after your last dive. If Skydiving or Hot Air Ballooning you must wait 24 hours after your dive. We recommend waiting a minimum of 24 hours whenever possible
Horseriding
This Cairns Horse riding tour is suitable for all ages and levels from beginners to the more experienced along with being a perfect family adventure. (minimum age is four years)- No experience is necessary, and we have a range of horses suitable for all levels of experience.
- We believe the soundest method to reduce the risk of an accident is to employ suitably experienced staff and to train them to our high standards of safety.
- We know each of our horses well and being able to match horse and rider is part of our “workplace horse and safety programme”.
- Horse Selection – Horses chosen for beginner riders with a suitable temperament.
- All Lead guides are First Aid certified and highly experienced horse riders.
